Review pages 110 - 114 in you Many Gifts book. Do you understand the information that each of the maps are giving you about these early societies?
In you chart comparing the physical features, did you include water? What river runs through Judea? What river runs through Ancient Rome? These should be included on your chart and in your paragraph.
Physical features include: plains, mountains, valleys, lowlands, plateaus, desert, rivers, seas..

Math
Today we started our study of mass. When you do your homework, B and C are on the chart. D is using the information to pack the backpacks (itemized list). Finally E is the total mass of each backpack based on what each person brought.
Next up is capacity and volume. We're moving quite quickly, so homework completion is VERY IMPORTANT.
The test on Friday is on measuring length, perimeter, area and time (start, end, elapsed).
Writing
Some students still have not completed a story map. We will be working on drafting our adventure story and researching for Social Studies in the upcoming days.
Reminders:
- School jerseys should be laundered and returned ASAP. Only a handful of students have returned they school jersey from the track and field meet.
- Try to have a cowboy hat for our dance that will be presented on Friday, June 5th @ 10:30 am. The Dollar Store had some very cool cowboy hats at a reasonable price. Let me know if you have a problem getting a hat.
