Literacy
Answering inferring questions is still a challenge for many of you. The supply teacher noticed that many of you had difficulty answering the character question. Remember to use modeled answers in notebooks and posted in the classroom as a guide. Each paragraph of your character question should have had a trait, proof and explanation. Three traits, three paragraphs. Congratulations to the students who are able to complete the open-response or inferring question successfully.

Tomorrow you will be asked to write the main idea or author's message. What is something that we can learn from this story? It is rather silly, but there are a few possibilities. What proof will you use to support your main idea or message? Several pieces of proof are best. How will you explain your proof using your own ideas.

Think about it!

Math
Communicating your thinking..... How can you tell if a sum is reasonable? Round the numbers and find the estimate. Is it close to the sum? If it is, then it is reasonable. If it isn't, then it isn't reasonable.

3899 + 2011 = 6910 Is that a reasonable sum?

French
French plays tonight. Bonne chance!
