Why do people live where they live?
An interesting question we looked at today and you all shared some great insight.
Some factors we brainstormed in class:
Climate...... what's it like? Why might it be desirable?
Landforms.... what about the land.... ocean... forests... might be attractive to people?
Natural resources.... forestry.... fishing....mining....what do they give to the people of the Cordillera?
Jobs..... what kind of jobs do these resources give to the people who live in the Cordillera?
Other factors include "reasons of the heart"
Make personal connections to help you out.... why do you live in the Great Lakes Lowlands?

Today we collected some fun data. Some of you have very nimble fingers. Tomorrow we will use it to construct a stem and leaf plot. Here is one below. Try to figure out how it works.
