Reading
Complete three questions from "Run to the River". For the first, list three characteristics of adventure stories and give an example of that trait from the story.

For the second question... what word or words could you use to describe the family? Are they a close and loving family? A family that argues a lot and are uncaring? Find examples (proof) from the text to support your opinion. Explain how their actions, thoughts or words show what kind of family they are. APE-style question.

For the last writing task, write in the first person (I). Pretend you are Jacob. Use strong words to describe your emotions and be descriptive about what happened to you on the farm that day. Do not retell the entire story, just the important parts.
