- It is important when writing any test that you UNDERSTAND the question. Highlighting key words, reading the question carefully or making a connection to similar question, are all useful strategies to help you understand what the question is asking.
- Always use part of the question in your answer. It helps make sure that you answered the question correctly.
- Read over your answer and ask yourself if it makes sense.
- Some of you want to actually send your letters to Santa..... the clock is ticking.... you must work hard to complete them on time!
Math:
- Many of you were having difficulty describing the interior angles of different pattern blocks.
- Tomorrow I will be sending home one of each pattern block and quadrilateral sorting cards to help you study. Please review this with your parents.
- Many of you did not understand a homework question that was IDENTICAL to one we did together in class 20 minutes earlier.
*Two angles that are greater than 0 degrees but less than 45 degrees
*Two angles that are greater than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees
Our benchmark angles are half a right angle (45 degrees); right angle (90 degrees) and a straight angle (180 degrees).
I've included a link to virtual pattern blocks to help practice.
Math Test: Tuesday, December 16th.
Math Task: Wednesday, December 17th
Keep working hard..... we're almost done all the required assignments before Christmas... I know it's hard to focus with Christmas around the corner, but I know you can do it!
